At DNV, we believe in making the world a better place. Our continuous advancement of research and development is one of the ways we demonstrate that core value. This is why we invest 5% of our total revenue in this essential part of our business. It springs from a DNV tradition that started more than 30 years ago: Championing Joint Industry Projects (JIP). In these programmes, we work with world leaders in the energy industry to find smarter and safer ways to power the future, while staying true to our environmental responsibility. These JIPs have been tremendously fruitful: many industry standards, guidelines and best practices are the results of these shared innovation projects.
At any one time, more than 50 different JIPs are ongoing within DNV. Many of these focus on finding innovative ways to create an energy supply that is sustainable in the long term. We are of course talking about renewable energy. We provide added business value and trust to 80% of all offshore projects through our world renowned certificates and work with eight of the top ten turbine manufacturers.
In this document, you can find some examples of what can be achieved through our JIPs. If you would like to join us in our mission of helping wind projects optimise performance by managing risk and ensuring costs efficiency, please do not hesitate to contact us.
